It can all become very unwieldy very quickly, so some enterprising programmers have created applications, called frontends, to help manage all of that content and make it easier to launch emulators with your specified title and settings intact! Before the use of frontends, the player would have to launch the emulator and select the title or open up a game folder, select which game they want to play and double-click it.įrontends eliminate many of these steps and make it quicker and easier to get your game on.
